DESIGN PROCESS:

Creating a custom metal piece is a collaborative process. Here’s what working together typically looks like.

Initial Consultation: We begin with a conversation about your space, your ideas, and what you want the finished piece to feel like.

Mood Board & Inspiration: I gather visual references, materials, and ideas to explore the direction of the design.

Design Development: From there, I create sketches and refine the design until it feels right for the space.

Material Samples: We review potential finishes, patinas, and materials so you can see how the piece will look and age over time.

Design Confirmation: Once the design is finalized and approved, fabrication begins.

Fabrication & Installation: The piece is built by hand in my studio and installed with the same care that went into its design.

  • I am based on the Central Coast of California, primarily serving Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, Montecito, Goleta, Ventura and surrounding areas. I also consider projects outside these regions—just reach out and we can explore logistics.

  • I work with steel, stainless metal, aluminium, copper, bronze, mixed-material assemblies (metal, wood, glass, concrete) I match the material to both aesthetic and functional needs.

  • I offer raw, brushed, oxidized, patinated, powder-coated and clear-sealed finishes—each chosen for durability and aesthetic. I will help determine the best finish based on the project’s environment (indoor vs outdoor) and usage.
